Awana Front Desk Assistant
Greet families, assist with child check-in, and ensure children are placed in the correct group. Assist leaders or teachers as needed throughout the evening.
CarePortal Bus Pass Purchaser/Deliverer
Purchase bus passes in response to a frequently needed item and coordinate delivery to family/caseworker.
CarePortal Community Meeting Liaison
Attend the monthly CarePortal meeting of ministry contact people and community leaders. Then disseminate the information to the CP team at Metropolitan.
CarePortal Delivery Coordinator
Serve as point of contact for caseworkers and families; determine and coordinate details such as time/day of delivery of items and team to assist in delivery.
CarePortal Delivery Photographer/Storyteller
Take photos of volunteers as deliveries are made and share stories online, via God @ Work Moments or via a Magnify post to the congregation.
CarePortal Delivery Volunteer
Help load and unload furniture and deliver needed items directly to the family's home. Plan for approximately 2 hours from load to drop-off. Watch for messages with day and time details for upcoming deliveries and respond when your schedule allows; we aim for at least one delivery per month.

Maintain a log of all donated items so ministry leaders can track what is on hand and respond to needs effectively.

Foster spiritual growth through interactive Bible lessons, prayer, and group discussions that help children connect their faith to daily life. Facilitate lessons (if serving as teacher) or provide classroom support and encourage student participation (if serving as assistant).

Toddler Room (1-3 years) – Supervise active toddlers, ensuring their safety while helping with bathroom needs and snack time (if applicable). Lead simple group activities such as singing songs, storytelling, and play-based learning to foster early social and spiritual development.

Be in designated D-group to assist the teacher and interact with students.

Metropolitan Adult Choir Participant
Join the Adult Choir by attending Wednesday evening rehearsals at 6:30 pm and Sunday morning sessions at 8:15 am. Rehearse songs on Wednesdays and meet with the praise team on Sundays to run through the worship order for that service.
Missions Team Member
Attend meetings once a month and work together to engage with our missionaries. Help plan the annual Missions Festival in September.
Missions Team Missionary Visitor Friend
Be willing to take a visiting missionary to lunch after church on occasion. This could be a one-time thing or be available throughout the year when a visitor arrives.
Pickleball Backup Leader
Open the gym before players arrive by sweeping the floor, setting up nets (start with two), and placing equipment on a table near the gym entry. Facilitate open play sessions from 6–9 pm on Monday and Friday evenings. At the conclusion of play, take down the nets and equipment and return them to the closet at the northwest corner of the gym.
